Gallant’s Sugar Shack
Since the beginning in 1972, the Gallant family has cherished the dream of operating a Sugar Shack. Built from trees that fell during the 1998 ice storm, they built a log cabin in the center of a vast maple grove on the south side of Mount Rigaud. This sector benefits from a microclimate very favorable to the production of syrup. Our maple products are available 12 months a year, directly at the Inn. From March to April, the sugar house is a popular place to enjoy a hearty maple meal and appreciate all our different maple products.
Each year, the production of these products extends from late February to late April. Our maple products are available 12 months a year, directly at the Inn. From March to April, the sugar house is a popular place for hikers and skiers to rest, enjoy a hearty maple meal and appreciate all our different maple products.
